| about us After graduating from The Scottish College of Textiles in 1998 it was a dream of Lisa Hector's to start up her own business. The dream became a reality in October 2003 in the form of Primrose Hill Interiors, Primrose Hill being the name of the house that she was brought up in as a child. In the summer of 2005, Lisa, her husband Gregg (the craft roadie!) and their two cats moved to Mill of Fyall Cottage, soon to be referred to as "the shack!", an old millers cottage with an acre of land. Striving for a life of self sufficiency, a rather large veggie garden has been built and numerous feathered friends have been acquired. Florence and Felicity the geese, twenty odd chickens, William the cockerel (big Wullie!) and ten ever entertaining Indian Runner ducks. Oh, and how could we forget Chrissie, the retired collie and her little buddie, Moss the black lab pup. Soon to be added to the menagerie are some Tamworth pigs............... Primrose Hill is now run from the studio in the garden, built by the fair hands of Gregg. We celebrated the grand opening with a tea party in the garden with lots of friends, fun and laughter, an event not to be forgotten. We've dropped the "interiors" part of our name as we feel we do so much more than that now, and frankly I'm fed up of people phoning to find out if we make curtains! You can read more about the
day to day running of the business and the adventures of living the
country life over at the Primrose Hill blog.
